Herndon, VA –  Network Solutions®, a leading provider of Web-based solutions and pioneer of domain name registration services, announced today that the company  has been selected as one of the Best Places to work in Pennsylvania for 2008.  Applying for the first time, Network Solutions joins the Top 50 Large Companies to work for in Pennsylvania.

The statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. It was developed by a joint partnership of the Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, and the Central Penn Business Journal.

With hundreds of entries from across the state, the Network Solutions’ Hazleton office was selected in the large company category through a two part evaluation process.  First, Network Solutions was evaluated for its workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics.  The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. Nearly 45,000 Pennsylvania employees filled out the survey. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation.

Network Solutions will be recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in PA evening awards ceremony on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center.
