How Network Solutions Does Business
Our customers’ interests are at the forefront of our business practices. A dedicated organization directs our public policy initiatives and manages a structured business ethics program.
Customer Privacy
We respect customer privacy and enable our customers to control how their personal information is processed. Our extensive customer support organization is available around the clock to answer customer questions and to help resolve issues. Customers are also able to consult our library of free resources and tools, so they can learn how best to address privacy concerns and meet their needs.
Business Ethics
The purpose of the Network Solutions® business ethics program is to foster continued good business practices and ethical conduct in our work environment. The Policy and Business Ethics team oversees the business ethics program, which includes the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, a 24×7 Ethics Helpline for our employees, and related training efforts.
- Our Code is the centerpiece of our ethics program and serves as a guide to the standards of Network Solutions. It also directs our employees to the appropriate resources when questions or situations arise. The Code itself is not new, but rather a part of our long-standing tradition of ethical business conduct.
- We contract with a leader in outsourced ethics and compliance solutions to operate our toll-free, 24×7 Ethics Helpline. This service allows employees facing ethical situations or who have questions to discuss their concerns with a knowledgeable source while remaining completely anonymous. The team reviews all calls and, when appropriate, investigates cases of suspected misconduct. Confidentiality is maintained to the extent possible.
- To reinforce commitment of Network Solutions to an ethical way of doing business, we produce an ongoing training series for all employees. These short, Intranet-based modules focus on common ethical dilemmas in the workplace. We also contribute to specialized business ethics training for various units across the company. The goal of these efforts is to further explore and encourage desired behavior in the workplace.
We are members the Ethics and Compliance Officers Association (ECOA), the leading provider of ethics, compliance, and corporate governance resources. We draw on the ECOA’s in-depth resources and professional network to develop and refine our own business ethics program. Collectively, the ECOA resources and our own internal Code of Business Conduct and Ethics enable us to make the right decisions for our customers.
