Network Solutions Launches ‘Tax Break Sweepstake’ to Help Alleviate Stress Experienced by Tax Payers
BUSINESSWIRE– A recent survey conducted by Harris Interactive® and commissioned by Network Solutions found that 37-percent of U.S. adults indicate that frustration comes to mind when thinking about filing their taxes. No matter if you file taxes annually for your personal finances or quarterly if you have a small business, the process can be time consuming and stressful for numerous reasons.
According to the “Network Solutions Tax Break Survey,” nearly one-third (29-percent) of U.S. adults consider paying money to the government to be their least favorite aspect of doing their taxes. The remaining respondents considered the amount of time it takes (16-percent), doing paperwork (12-percent), paying for an accountant (9-percent), finding receipts (9-percent) and itemizing deductions (5-percent) to be their least favorite aspect of doing their taxes.
To help alleviate stress caused by paying money to the government, Network Solutions, the leading provider of Web solutions for small businesses, launched the “Tax Break Sweepstake” to give tax payers a chance to win one of three $10,000 cash prizes.
“We have more than three million small business customers and whether they are in consulting or plumbing, we often hear that tax season gives them a headache,” said Champ Mitchell, chairman and CEO of Network Solutions. “This sweepstakes is another way to help our customers build and grow their small business.”

About the Harris Interactive Survey:
Harris Interactive® fielded the study on behalf of the Network Solutions from February 10-14, 2006, via its QuickQuerySM online omnibus, interviewing a nationwide sample of 2,045 U.S. adults 18 and older. Data were weighted to be representative of the total U.S. adult population on the basis of region, age within gender, education, household income, race/ethnicity, and propensity to be online. In theory, with probability samples of this size, one could say with 95 percent certainty that the results have a sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points. This online sample was not a probability sample.
